These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the GPS Projects website and any requests for quotations or services. By using our website or requesting services, you agree to these Terms.
1) About GPS Projects
GPS Projects (Pty) Ltd provides painting, waterproofing, concrete repairs, and related building services in Durban and surrounding areas.
2) Website use
You agree to use our website lawfully and not to:
interfere with the website’s operation,
attempt unauthorised access to systems, or
submit false or misleading information.
We may update, suspend, or withdraw parts of the website at any time.
3) Quotes and scope of work
Quotes are based on the information you provide and/or a site assessment.
Quotes may change if site conditions differ from what was disclosed or visible at the time of quoting.
Work will be performed according to the agreed written quotation, scope, and any approved variations.
4) Scheduling and access
You agree to:
Provide reasonable access to the site during agreed times
Inform us of any site rules, access requirements, or hazards
Ensure pets, occupants, or tenants do not interfere with the work area
Delays caused by lack of access, tenant restrictions, weather, or undisclosed site conditions may affect timelines.
5) Client responsibilities
Where applicable, you are responsible for:
Approvals from body corporates, landlords, or managing agents
Permits or permissions required for work (unless agreed otherwise in writing)
Removing or protecting valuables, furniture, and fragile items (unless agreed otherwise)
6) Variations and additional work
If additional work is required (e.g., hidden damage discovered after starting), we will advise you and provide a variation quote. Work outside the agreed scope will only proceed with your approval.
7) Payments
Payment terms will be stated on the quotation and/or invoice.
Late payments may result in work pauses, rescheduling, or additional costs (where permitted by law).
Any materials ordered specifically for your job may require a deposit (if stated in the quote).
8) Workmanship and guarantees
We aim to deliver consistent workmanship and will address agreed snags identified within a reasonable period after completion.
Any workmanship guarantee applies to the work performed by GPS Projects and is subject to the agreed scope, correct product use conditions, and reasonable maintenance.
Guarantees do not cover issues caused by structural movement, third-party damage, misuse, lack of maintenance, or pre-existing conditions outside our control.
Waterproofing outcomes depend on correct diagnosis and the broader roof/building condition. Where full remediation is required, we will explain options and limitations before proceeding.
9) Materials and colour matching
Product availability may change. If a specified product is unavailable, we may propose an equivalent alternative.
Colour matching may vary between batches or surfaces. Final appearance can be affected by surface condition, lighting, and previous coatings.
10) Safety and site conditions
We follow reasonable safety practices. You must notify us of known hazards (e.g., asbestos, unstable surfaces, electrical hazards) before work begins.
11) Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law:
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as loss of profits, business interruption, or reputational loss).
Our liability for direct losses is limited to the value of the service fees paid for the relevant work, except where the law requires otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under South African law.
12) Intellectual property
Website content (text, logos, photos, and design) may not be copied or reused without written permission, unless otherwise stated.
13) Privacy
Your use of the website is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it for details on how we handle personal information.
14) Changes to these Terms

15) Governing law
